West Central Russell County in southwestern Virginia... East Central Wise County in southwestern Virginia... * Until 1015 PM EDT. * At 812 PM EDT, Major flooding and Evacuations continue in Dante, Virginia. Up to 3 inches of rain have fallen. The following streams are experiencing major flooding: Left Fork Lick Creek, Right Fork Lick Creek, and Lick Creek. Lick Creek flows toward Saint Paul. Flooding along the Lick Creek near Saint Paul is expected. Move to high ground. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Great deal of runoff from the recent heavy rains will continue to produce flash flooding. SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.
