Flood Advisory National Weather Service Chicago IL 302 PM CDT Thu Jul 24 2025 ...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 530 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of northeast Illinois, including the following counties, Cook, DuPage and Will. * WHEN...Until 530 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Underpasses may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 302 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms that are producing 1 to 2 inches of rain in 30 minutes. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
