Flood Advisory National Weather Service Chicago IL 532 AM CDT Sun Aug 17 2025 ...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON CDT TODAY... * WHAT...Continued flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. This Flood Advisory is replacing the Flash Flood Warning that was in effect. * WHERE...A portion of northeast Illinois, including the following counties, Cook, DuPage, Kane, Kendall and Will. * WHEN...Until noon CDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may continue in poor drainage and urban areas, including flooded underpasses, roads, and streets. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 532 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated between 3 and 4 inches of rain have fallen overnight. Runoff from this rainfall will cause continued flooding issues across portions of the advisory area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
