URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Hanford CA 1123 AM PDT Mon Aug 18 2025 ...EXTREME HEAT WATCH IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY MORNING THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING... * WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with high temperatures up to 106 degrees possible. Warm overnight lows around 75 to 80 degrees in the urban areas from Friday until Sunday morning. * WHERE...A portion of central California. * WHEN...From Friday morning through Sunday morning. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.
