Coastal Hazard Message National Weather Service Baltimore MD/Washington DC 1045 AM EDT Fri Aug 22 2025 ...COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EDT SUNDAY... * WHAT...Around two feet of inundation above ground level in low lying areas due to tidal flooding. * WHERE...Shoreline in Charles and King George Counties. * WHEN...Until 7 PM EDT Sunday, especially around the time of high tide. * IMPACTS...At 3.5 feet, water reaches yards near Cobb Island and docks near Dahlgren. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Tides two to two and a half feet above normal. The next high tide at Goose Bay is at 4:20 PM and 4:34 AM. The next high tide at Indian Head is at 8:14 PM and 8:28 AM. The next high tide at Dahlgren is at 3:12 PM and 3:36 AM. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth.
