URGENT - FIRE WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Medford OR 348 AM PDT Mon Aug 25 2025 ...RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 9 PM PDT THIS EVENING FOR ABUNDANT LIGHTNING ON DRY FUELS FOR FIRE WEATHER ZONES 280, 281, 282, 284, 285, 617, 620, 621, 622, 623, 624, AND 625... * IMPACTS...Abundant lightning on dry fuels resulting in the potential for numerous new fire starts. * AFFECTED AREA...In California, all of Fire weather zones 280, 281, 282, 284, and 285, and in Oregon, all of Fire weather zones 617, 620, 621, 622, 623, 624, and 625. * THUNDERSTORMS...Scattered thunderstorms with abundant lightning expected.
