Flood Advisory National Weather Service Charleston SC 319 PM EDT Sun Sep 7 2025 ...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 515 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast South Carolina, including the following counties, Berkeley and Charleston. * WHEN...Until 515 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 317 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms with torrential rainfall extending from North Charleston through the neck of the Charleston Peninsula through Mount Pleasant. 1 to 2 inches of rain has already fallen in some areas this afternoon. An additional 1 to 2 inches could fall through 515 PM, resulting in minor flooding of low-lying and poor drainage areas. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... North Charleston, Mount Pleasant, Goose Creek, Hanahan, Daniel Island, I-26/I-526 Interchange, West Ashley, Awendaw and Cainhoy. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
