URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Fairbanks AK 1126 PM AKDT Thu Sep 11 2025 ...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON AKDT SATURDAY... * WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations up to 2 to 4 inches. * WHERE...Denali Borough. * WHEN...Until noon AKDT Saturday. * IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday morning and evening commutes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow will struggle to accumulate during the day, as it will melt on contact initially. Most accumulations will come tonight and Friday night. There is the potential for a refreeze of snowmelt Friday night and Saturday night. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
