Special Weather Statement National Weather Service San Juan PR 225 PM AST Sat Sep 13 2025 ...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN, NORTH CENTRAL AND CENTRAL INTERIOR MUNICIPALITIES THROUGH 315 PM AST... At 224 PM AST, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms along a line extending from La Alianza to near Lares. These storms were nearly stationary. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
