Flood Advisory National Weather Service New York NY 305 PM EDT Thu Oct 30 2025 ...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Minor flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Portions of southern Connecticut, including the following county, Fairfield, northeast New Jersey, including the following counties, Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Passaic and Union, and southeast New York, including the following counties, Bronx, Kings (Brooklyn), Nassau, New York (Manhattan), Orange, Putnam, Queens, Richmond (Staten Island), Rockland and Westchester. * WHEN...Until 500 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 303 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain has occurred over the last few hours. Minor flooding is already occurring in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen, highest in NE NJ, with peak hourly rainfall rates around three quarters of an inch. - Additional heavy rainfall is possible especially over the NYC metro and southern portions of the Lower Hudson Valley where an additional 1 to 2 inches of rain is possible. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
