Special Weather Statement National Weather Service Greenville-Spartanburg SC 1135 PM EST Tue Nov 4 2025 ...INCREASED FIRE DANGER FROM 11 AM WEDNESDAY MORNING THROUGH 6 PM WEDNESDAY EVENING... Abnormally dry conditions continue over portions of western North Carolina. The combination of low relative humidity dropping into the 30 to 35 percent range with gusty west to southwest winds of 20 to 30 mph, an Increased Fire Danger statement has been issued for the Central and Northern Mountains and the Piedmont. This is in effect for Wednesday from 11 am to 6 pm. Please refer to your local burn permitting authorities on whether you can burn. If you do burn, use extreme caution since fires can quickly get out of hand under these conditions.
