URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Gaylord MI 330 AM EST Sun Nov 9 2025 ...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM THIS MORNING TO 7 PM EST THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 2 and 4 inches. Lesser amounts around 1 inch across eastern portions of the counties near the lakeshores. * WHERE...Alcona, Alpena, and Presque Isle Counties. * WHEN...From 7 AM this morning to 7 PM EST this evening. * IMPACTS...Accumulating snow on roads and quick drops in visibility may lead to brief periods of hazardous driving conditions. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Be prepared for slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while driving. If you are going outside, watch your first few steps taken on stairs, sidewalks, and driveways. These surfaces could be icy and slippery, increasing your risk of a fall and injury. During lake effect snow, the weather can vary from bands of locally heavy snow to dry weather just a few miles away. Visibilities can also vary greatly. Be prepared for rapid changes in weather, visibility, and road conditions.
