Special Weather Statement National Weather Service Newport/Morehead City NC 211 AM EST Wed Nov 26 2025 ...PATCHY DENSE FOG EXPECTED EARLY THIS MORNING... Areas of fog, dense at times, is expected to persist through early this morning in Onslow, Carteret, Jones and Craven counties. Visibilities could reach one quarter mile or less at times. Fog is expected to dissipate early Wednesday morning. If you need to travel, turn on your low beam headlights when approaching fog, drive slowly, and keep your distance from other vehicles.
