Lakeshore Hazard Message National Weather Service Buffalo NY 944 AM EST Wed Nov 26 2025 ...LAKESHORE FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 10 AM EST THURSDAY... * WHAT...Minor lakeshore erosion and flooding expected. * WHERE...Erie and Chautauqua counties. * WHEN...From 2 PM this afternoon to 10 AM EST Thursday. * IMPACTS...Some water on low lying roads and property along the lakeshore. Spray from high waves and onshore wind may impact Route 5 in Hamburg. Water levels will rise in Buffalo Harbor and Canalside. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Residents on or near the shore should take appropriate action to protect property from rising water levels.
