URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Gaylord MI 920 PM EST Thu Nov 27 2025 ...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EST FRIDAY... * WHAT...Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations of 2 to 6 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. * WHERE...Central Chippewa, Eastern Mackinac, Western Chippewa, and Western Mackinac Counties. * WHEN...Until 7 PM EST Friday. * IMPACTS...Heavy snow and strong winds will lead to significant drops in visibility. Whiteout conditions are expected at times of heaviest snow and winds. Combination of visibility restrictions and snow covered roads will make for hazardous travel. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. Turn on headlights so others can see you.
