URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Anchorage AK 1244 PM AKST Mon Dec 8 2025 ...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM AKST TUESDAY... * WHAT...Northeast winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 75 mph. Wind chill values between -10F and -20F. * WHERE...Matanuska Valley. * WHEN...Until 6 AM AKST Tuesday. * IMPACTS...High winds may move loose debris, damage property, and cause continued power outages. Travel will be difficult. Cold temperatures combined with strong winds could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Strong northeast winds currently observed will start to diminish around sunset. Areas of blowing snow and dust with reduced visibilities are possible. Winds will reduce to 5 to 20 mph by Tuesday afternoon. Ambient temperatures will likely drop below zero by Wednesday morning, continuing through the week. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
