URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Detroit/Pontiac MI 252 AM EST Tue Dec 9 2025 ...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM THIS EVENING TO 4 PM EST WEDNESDAY... * WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 3 and 5 inches. Winds gusting as high as 30 mph. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Michigan. * WHEN...From 10 PM this evening to 4 PM EST Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday morning commute. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall during the advisory period will be in addition to snow accumulations earlier in day of between 1 and 2 inches. Total snowfall between Tuesday morning and Wednesday evening could exceed 6 inches within a portion of the advisory area. A thin glaze of icing is also possible on top of new snowfall. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Slow down and use caution while traveling. You can obtain the latest road conditions from the MDOT Michigan Drive Map. Be prepared for slippery roads.
