URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Baltimore MD/Washington DC 953 PM EST Wed Dec 10 2025 ...BLIZZARD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM EST THURSDAY... * WHAT...Blizzard conditions expected. Total snow accumulations between 4 and 7 inches, with locally 8 inches possible on the western-facing slopes above 2500 feet along and west of the Allegheny Front. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph. Visibility one-quarter mile or less. * WHERE...In Maryland, Western Garrett County. In West Virginia, Western Grant and Western Pendleton Counties. * WHEN...Until 10 AM EST Thursday. * IMPACTS...Whiteout conditions are expected and will make travel treacherous and potentially life-threatening. Plan on slippery road conditions. Widespread blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday morning commute. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Bursts of snow and squalls are expected through late evening. Steady snow will continue through tonight before gradually tapering off Thursday morning. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Travel should be restricted to emergencies only.
