URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Gaylord MI 313 AM EST Thu Dec 11 2025 ...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM EST THIS AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Lake effect snow expected. Additional snow accumulations up to three inches west of Brimley and Rudyard. Winds gusting as high as 25mph will lead to instances of blowing and drifting snow in prone areas. * WHERE...Central Chippewa and Western Chippewa Counties. * WHEN...Until 4 PM EST this afternoon. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. Hazardous travel is expected for the morning commute. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Slow down and use caution while traveling. During lake effect snow, the weather can vary from bands of locally heavy snow to dry weather just a few miles away. Visibilities can also vary greatly. Be prepared for rapid changes in weather, visibility, and road conditions.
