URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Denver CO 601 PM MST Thu Dec 18 2025 ...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM NOON TO 8 PM MST FRIDAY... * WHAT...West winds 25 to 40 mph with gusts up to 85 mph, strongest near the base of the foothills. * WHERE...Fort Collins, Longmont, Boulder, and the western suburbs of Denver. * WHEN...From noon to 8 PM MST Friday. * IMPACTS...Damaging winds may blow down trees and power lines. Scattered power outages are possible. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Strong winds will lead to rapid fire growth of any new fire.
