URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service State College PA 112 PM EST Tue Dec 30 2025 ...LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EST THURSDAY... * WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow. Additional snow accumulations between 5 and 13 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. * WHERE...McKean and Warren Counties. * WHEN...Until 7 PM EST Thursday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning commutes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...There will be 6 to 8 hour period with little to no snow during the day on Wednesday before more widespread snow showers resume Wednesday evening. A line of snow showers/squalls will move through on Wednesday evening and could produce gusty winds and rapidly reduced visibilities.
