.Two fronts will bring impactful winter weather to the area. The first overnight, and the second Wednesday afternoon into Thursday morning. Snow levels of 4500 feet will fall to 3500 feet overnight. Then, snow levels begin at 3000 feet Wednesday afternoon before falling as low as 1500 feet on Thursday morning, with significant snow for west side areas and northern Klamath County at elevations above 2000 feet.

URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Medford OR 1013 PM PST Tue Jan 6 2026 .Two fronts will bring impactful winter weather to the area. Total snow accumulations 5 to 10 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph over high and exposed terrain. Snow will be heaviest during late Wednesday afternoon through Wednesday evening. * WHERE...Klamath Basin and Northern and Eastern Klamath County. This includes the communities of Chemult and Crescent, as well as parts of Highway 97 north of Chiloquin. * WHEN...Until 10 AM PST Thursday. * IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Visit weather.gov/mfr/winter for additional snow probabilities.
