URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Las Vegas NV 1130 AM PST Wed Jan 7 2026 ...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM THIS EVENING TO 10 PM PST THURSDAY... * WHAT...Northwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected, especially in the morning. Winds will shift to the north in the afternoon. * WHERE...Cadiz Basin, Eastern Mojave Desert, Morongo Basin, and Western Mojave Desert. * WHEN...From 10 PM this evening to 10 PM PST Thursday. * IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Very strong crosswinds may impact Highway 247 near Landers...as well as Interstates 15 and 40.
