URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Boston/Norton MA 1255 AM EST Sun Jan 18 2026 ...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM THIS MORNING TO 7 AM EST MONDAY... * WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 3 and 6 inches with localized 7 inch amounts possible. * WHERE...Southeast Massachusetts and Rhode Island. * WHEN...From 7 AM this morning to 7 AM EST Monday. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Periods of snow develop Sunday morning and continue at times into Sunday afternoon. The heaviest of the snow will occur late Sunday afternoon and night...when snowfall rates may exceed 1 inch per hour. While the steadiest snow should be over by daybreak Monday... snow showers may linger into the Monday morning commute making for hazardous travel. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
