URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Northern Indiana 421 AM EST Mon Jan 19 2026 ...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EST /6 PM CST/ THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Lake effect snow and blowing snow expected. Additional snow accumulations up to two inches. Blowing and drifting snow, especially through mid afternoon today. Visibilities of less than one quarter of a mile due to snow and blowing snow are possible at times, with the greatest impacts expected along and north of the Toll Road. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph with the strongest gusts occurring this morning into midday. * WHERE...Eastern St. Joseph IN, Elkhart, Northern La Porte, and Western St. Joseph IN Counties. * WHEN...Until 7 PM EST /6 PM CST/ this evening. * IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous.
