URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Tulsa OK 1146 PM CST Wed Jan 21 2026 ...EXTREME COLD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM LATE FRIDAY NIGHT THROUGH MONDAY MORNING... * WHAT...Dangerously cold wind chills between 5 below and 15 below possible. * WHERE...Portions of northwest and west central Arkansas and east central, northeast, and southeast Oklahoma. * WHEN...From late Friday night through Monday morning. * IMPACTS...The cold wind chills as low as 15 below zero could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... To prevent water pipes from freezing; wrap or drain or allow them to drip slowly. Make sure outdoor animals have a warm, dry shelter, food, and unfrozen water.
