In addition to the high threat for significant snow and ice, very cold temperatures are expected tonight through the middle of next week with sub-zero wind chills likely at times. ...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM THIS EVENING TO 10 AM EST MONDAY... * WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation expected. Total snow and sleet accumulations between 8 and 12 inches, with isolated amounts up to 16 inches possible. Ice accumulations up to two tenths of an inch, confined mostly west of the Allegheny Front and south of US-33. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph. * WHERE...Portions of western Maryland, western Virginia, and eastern West Virginia. * WHEN...From 7 PM this evening to 10 AM EST Monday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning commute.
