URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Peachtree City GA 255 PM EST Sun Jan 25 2026 ...ICE STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM EST MONDAY... * WHAT...Significant icing. Additional ice accumulations of one to four tenths of an inch expected . Winds gusting 20 to 35 mph tonight. * WHERE...Portions of east central, north central, and northeast Georgia. * WHEN...Until 10 AM EST Monday. * IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Significant ice accumulation on power lines and tree limbs may cause widespread and long-lasting power outages. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Persons should consider delaying all travel. If travel is absolutely necessary, drive with extreme caution. Consider taking a winter storm kit along with you, including such items as tire chains, booster cables, flashlight, shovel, blankets and extra clothing. Also take water, a first aid kit, and anything else that would help you survive in case you become stranded.
