URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Boston/Norton MA 201 AM EST Mon Jan 26 2026 ...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EST THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations 1-5 inches. The highest amounts are expected along the immediate northeastern coastline. * WHERE...Portions of northern Connecticut, central, eastern, northeastern, southeastern, and western Massachusetts, and northern and southern Rhode Island. * WHEN...Until 8 PM EST this evening. * IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. Persons should consider delaying all travel.
