URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Greenville-Spartanburg SC 1009 AM EST Mon Jan 26 2026 ...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO NOON EST TUESDAY... * WHAT...Very cold wind chills in the lower single digits expected. * WHERE...The foothills and Piedmont of northeast Georgia, western North Carolina, and Upstate South Carolina. * WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to noon EST Tuesday. * IMPACTS...The cold wind chills as low as 5 above zero could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills inside.
