URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Detroit/Pontiac MI 217 PM EST Thu Jan 29 2026 ...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 10 AM EST FRIDAY... * WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 15 to 20 below zero expected. * WHERE...Bay, Huron, Midland, Saginaw, Sanilac, and Tuscola Counties. * WHEN...From midnight tonight to 10 AM EST Friday. * IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors.
