URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Grand Rapids MI 242 PM EST Thu Jan 29 2026 ...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 10 AM EST FRIDAY... * WHAT...Very cold wind chills 20 to 25 below expected. * WHERE...Clare, Gratiot, Isabella, Mecosta, Montcalm, Osceola, Lake, and Newaygo Counties. * WHEN...From midnight tonight to 10 AM EST Friday. * IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 25 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Use caution while outdoors. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves.
