URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Detroit/Pontiac MI 242 AM EST Fri Jan 30 2026 ...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM EST THIS MORNING... * WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 15 below zero. * WHERE...Genesee, Lapeer, Livingston, Macomb, Oakland, Shiawassee, and St. Clair Counties. * WHEN...Until 10 AM EST this morning. * IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 15 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators inside.
