URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Louisville KY 146 PM EST Fri Jan 30 2026 ...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM EST /9 PM CST/ THIS EVENING TO 1 PM EST /NOON CST/ SATURDAY... * WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 12 below expected. * WHERE...Portions of south central Indiana and central Kentucky. * WHEN...From 10 PM EST /9 PM CST/ this evening to 1 PM EST /noon CST/ Saturday. * IMPACTS...The cold wind chills as low as 12 below zero could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Keep pets indoors as much as possible. Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills inside.
