URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Morristown TN 119 AM EST Sat Jan 31 2026 ...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 5 AM EST /4 AM CST/ EARLY THIS MORNING TO 1 PM EST /NOON CST/ SUNDAY... * WHAT...Very cold wind chills as 5 above zero to 5 below zero expected at times over the Valley and Plateau as well as Southwest North Carolina, while values as low as zero to 10 below zero can be expected at times over Southwest Virginia. * WHERE...Portions of southwest North Carolina, east Tennessee, and southwest Virginia. * WHEN...From 5 AM EST /4 AM CST/ early this morning to 1 PM EST /noon CST/ Sunday. * IMPACTS...The cold wind chills could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken.
