URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Burlington VT 1212 PM EST Sat Feb 7 2026 ...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 1 PM EST SUNDAY... * WHAT...Very cold wind chills of 20 to 30 below zero expected. * WHERE...The Champlain Valley and all of northern and central Vermont. * WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to 1 PM EST Sunday. * IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 30 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The coldest period will be near sunrise Sunday Morning. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Keep pets indoors as much as possible.
