URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Hanford CA 253 AM PST Thu Feb 19 2026 ...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM PST THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations of 1 to 2 feet. Up to an additional 3 feet over the highest peaks. Also, 3 to 6 inches of snow expected down to 3,000 feet and up to 3 inches down to 2,000 feet. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph. * WHERE...Sierra Nevada. * WHEN...Until 10 PM PST this evening. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday morning and evening commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow levels around 2,000 to 2,500 feet this morning, 3,000 to 4,000 feet this afternoon, and lowering back to 2,000 feet by this evening.
