URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Gaylord MI 334 AM EST Fri Feb 20 2026 ...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EST THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Total heavy, wet snow accumulations between 1 and 3 inches and ice accumulations of around a light glaze. East winds gusting as high as 35 mph. * WHERE...A portion of Eastern Upper Michigan. * WHEN...Until 7 PM EST this evening. * IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday morning and evening commutes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A wintry mix will transition to wet snow this afternoon. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Slow down and use caution while traveling. Be prepared for slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while driving.
