...INTERMITTENT SNOW SHOWERS CONTINUE THROUGH THURSDAY...
.Numerous snow showers are continuing to make their way across the gulf and overspreading the panhandle today. A more organized band of showers developed near the Icy Strait corridor and Juneau this morning that is being enhanced by the addition of overrunning of cold air starting to blow in from the north. Snow continues around Juneau, Hoonah, Gustavus and Pelican currently and should start to diminish through the afternoon. Areas farther south will see additional snowfall today as the showers over the gulf continue to stream in from the west, gradually tapering off from north to south through the day. Snowfall accumulations will be highly variable due to hit or miss nature of showers and locally higher amounts are expected. Temperatures will continue to gradually fall through Thursday across the northern panhandle.
