URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Great Falls MT 1145 PM MST Fri Mar 6 2026 ...HIGH WIND WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 3 AM SUNDAY TO MIDNIGHT MDT SUNDAY NIGHT... * WHAT...West winds 30 to 45 mph with gusts up to 75 mph expected. * WHERE...Portions of central and north central Montana. * WHEN...From 3 AM Sunday to midnight MDT Sunday Night. * IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Power outages are likely. Travel will be difficult to dangerous, especially for high profile vehicles. Blowing dust could significantly reduce visibility at times. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... People are urged to secure loose objects that could be blown around or damaged by the wind. If possible, consider delaying travel during the period of highest winds or finding an alternate route.
