URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Denver CO 951 AM MDT Tue Mar 10 2026 ...HIGH WIND WATCH IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY MORNING THROUGH LATE THURSDAY NIGHT... * WHAT...West winds 35 to 45 mph with gusts up to 80 mph possible. * WHERE...Fort Collins, and Boulder and the western suburbs of Denver. * WHEN...From Thursday morning through late Thursday night. * IMPACTS...Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines. Power outages are possible. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects and a few power outages may result. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Strong winds will likely lead to rapid fire growth of any new fire. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Fasten loose objects or shelter objects in a safe location prior to the onset of winds.
