URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Buffalo NY 157 PM EDT Fri Mar 13 2026 ...HIGH WIND WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM EDT SATURDAY... * WHAT...Southwest to west winds 25 to 35 mph with peak gusts up to 60 mph. * WHERE...The Niagara Frontier. * WHEN...Until 11 AM EDT Saturday. The highest wind gusts are expected overnight tonight. * IMPACTS...Strong winds will blow down trees and power lines. Scattered power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Avoid being outside in forested areas and around trees. If possible, remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Use caution if you must drive.
