URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Marquette MI 531 AM CDT Sat Mar 14 2026 ...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 5 AM SUNDAY TO 2 AM EDT TUESDAY... * WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Blizzard conditions possible. Total snow accumulations between 1 and 3 feet possible, except 1 to 2 feet in the Keweenaw. Winds gusts as high as 50 mph expected by late Sunday into Monday, possibly as high as 60 mph in the Keweenaw and by the lakeshore. * WHERE...Portions of central Upper and western Upper Michigan. * WHEN...From 5 AM Sunday to 2 AM EDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Whiteout conditions are expected and will make travel treacherous and potentially life-threatening. These hazardous conditions will impact the Monday morning and evening commutes. Strong winds could cause tree damage. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Power outages are possible due to the strong winds. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. Prepare for possible power outages.
