URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Marquette MI 900 PM EDT Sun Mar 15 2026 ...BLIZZARD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 AM EDT TUESDAY... * WHAT...Blizzard conditions. Additional snow accumulations between 8 and 14 inches. Winds gusting as high as 60 mph. * WHERE...Keweenaw and Northern Houghton Counties. * WHEN...Until 2 AM EDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Travel will be treacherous and potentially life-threatening. Widespread blowing snow and heavy snowfall rates will significantly reduce visibility. Very strong winds could cause extensive tree damage and result in power outages. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Strongest winds are expected tonight into Monday. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Travel should be restricted to emergencies only. If you must travel, have a winter survival kit with you. If you get stranded, stay with your vehicle. Persons should consider delaying all travel.
