URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Boston/Norton MA 1211 AM EDT Mon Mar 16 2026 ...HIGH WIND WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 5 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 6 AM EDT TUESDAY... * WHAT...South winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 65 mph expected. * WHERE...Portions of eastern, northeastern, and southeastern Massachusetts and northern and southern Rhode Island. * WHEN...From 5 PM this afternoon to 6 AM EDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Power outages are possible. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Watch for falling debris and tree limbs. Use caution if you must drive.
