URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Marquette MI 609 AM EDT Mon Mar 16 2026 ...BLIZZARD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Blizzard conditions. Additional snow accumulations between 6 and 12 inches. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph. * WHERE...Dickinson, Iron, and Menominee Counties. * WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Whiteout conditions are expected and will make travel treacherous and potentially life-threatening. The hazardous conditions will impact the Monday morning and evening commutes. The strong winds may down power lines and could cause sporadic power outages. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Travel should be restricted to emergencies only. If you must travel, have a winter survival kit with you. If you get stranded, stay with your vehicle. Persons should consider delaying all travel. Motorists should use extreme caution if travel is absolutely necessary.
