URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Greenville-Spartanburg SC 750 AM EDT Tue Mar 17 2026 ...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON ABOVE 3500 FEET... * WHAT...Snow above 3500 feet. Additional snow accumulations up to an inch, with locally higher amounts possible above 5,000 feet. Additional snow accumulations of a dusting to possibly half an inch in some lower elevations. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph. * WHERE...The North Carolina mountain counties along the Tennessee border above 3500 feet. * WHEN...Until 3 PM EDT this afternoon. * IMPACTS...The snowfall will create slippery and snow covered roadways. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning and evening commute. Strong winds could cause damage to trees and power lines. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
