URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Cleveland OH 903 AM EDT Tue Mar 17 2026 ...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM EDT WEDNESDAY... * WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow. Additional snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. * WHERE...Southern Erie County. * WHEN...Until 5 AM EDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday evening commute. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission strongly encourage motorists to heed all travel restrictions and delay unnecessary travel.
