Headline

...HIT OR MISS SNOW SHOWERS CONTINUE THROUGH THE WEEK...
.The Winter Weather Advisories have been expanded in area and extended in time through Thursday morning as scattered to numerous bands snow showers are expected to continually push into the panhandle through the late week. Another organized band is likely to push through the area late Tuesday night through Wednesday morning. Snowfall accumulations of 6 to 10 inches are expected through Thursday, with some locally higher amounts possible. However, accumulations will be limited during the daytime due to warmer temperatures as are now into the latter half of March. In addition, snowfall accumulations will be widely variable across the advisory areas due to the hit or miss nature of the showers, however rates as high as 1 inch per hour and visibilities down to 1/2 mile or less will be possible within any heavier showers that repeatedly move over the same location. Advisories could be upgraded to short-fuse Winter Storm Warnings if heavier snow showers continue over the same area.
