All-time record March heat, exceptionally low humidity, and periods of breezy winds will drive critical fire weather conditions this afternoon, most pronounced above 6,000 ft and west of I-25 where winds will be strongest. ...RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM THIS MORNING TO 10 PM MDT THIS EVENING FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR THE FRONT RANGE FOOTHILLS AND SOUTH PARK...FIRE WEATHER ZONES 214 THROUGH 216... * AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zones 214, 215 and 216. * TIMING...From 11 AM this morning to 10 PM MDT this evening. * WINDS...West 15 to 20 mph with gusts 35 to 40 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...4 to 9 percent. * IMPACTS...Conditions will be favorable for rapid fire spread.
